Great Boxes for Great Causes

As experts in everything containers, we know and see the difference a box can make. For more than 10 years, Big Blue Boxes has been giving back to local and global organizations focused on solving hunger and homelessness. The Container Project was started by Bill Kirkpatrick, our founder who passed away in 2024, as a way to further support organizations that were doing good for the community.

It’s amazing what you can do with a container.

Christmas Tree Drive

Big Blue Boxes proudly assisted St. Thomas the Apostle Church with their Christmas Tree Drive by transporting a container full of trees! We’re delighted to have played a part in spreading holiday cheer to the community.

Mango Farm Donation

When an organization focused on providing Haitian communities with a safe and sustainable way to live was in need, a Big Blue Box was brought in to help. We filled a container with donations from farm equipment, feminine products and more that was shipped to Haiti to support the community.

Waite House Partnership

We are fortunate to be able to partner with Waite House this year for their food and toy drive! We were able to fill up a 20′ container with all sorts of goods from donations. The food will be distributed to over 300 families and the toys will received by over 1,000 kids through the Waite House.

Continuing Bill’s Mission

Bill Kirkpatrick was the founder of Big Blue Boxes. He knew that getting a container, storing it and being able to transport it may sound easy, but that the complexities organizations face can be daunting. This, paired with Bill’s passion to help solve homelessness and hunger issues, drove him to partner with a number of organizations to provide boxes and ship them to those in need. Bill and the team at Big Blue Boxes gave countless hours, dollars and resources to support organizations that were there to help others. Bill passed away in 2024, but this commitment to giving back to the community continues within his family and the entire Big Blue Boxes team today.
